RemoteHub for Songhub Terms and Conditions

By installing RemoteHub for Songhub or using songhub.link (the "Service"), you agree to these terms from Bana Computing (Philippines). Contact: banacomputing@gmail.com.

Not affiliated with SongHub

RemoteHub for Songhub is an independent companion app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by SongHub or its developer, jpdcs. SongHub and related names belong to their respective owners. You need your own legitimate copy of SongHub, and your use of it is governed by its own terms.

Using the Service

• Use it only on devices and networks you own or are allowed to use.
• Keep your room access code private, and regenerate it if it is shared with someone you do not want connected. Anyone connected to your room can control playback.
• Picture‑in‑picture (optional and off by default; turn it on with the "Picture‑in‑picture on Home" setting) and "Show QR on your device" show your 7‑digit access code and QR on the device screen. If you allow it in Settings → Other devices, anyone connected to your room can ask your device to show it.
• Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse‑engineer the relay, bypass rate limits, or access rooms that aren't yours.
• Don't use the Service for unlawful activity, harassment, or to distribute malware or harmful content.

Optional accounts (Google sign‑in)

Basic remote control works without an account. Optional Google sign‑in on songhub.link unlocks My Songs and playlists. You must be allowed to use that Google account, and Google's terms apply to sign‑in. You are responsible for activity under your signed‑in session. We may suspend or remove access if we reasonably believe these terms are violated.

You may delete your Service account from the Library when signed in. Deletion removes your My Songs, playlists and share snapshots for this Service and ends your signed‑in session. It does not delete your Google account. After deletion, previously shared playlist links stop working. If you need help completing deletion, contact banacomputing@gmail.com.

My Songs, playlists and share links

• My Songs and playlists store song metadata you choose (such as codes, titles and artists) in Google Firebase under your account for this Service. We do not host or provide the underlying karaoke media.
• You are responsible for having the rights to the content you save, share or play, and for complying with SongHub's terms and applicable copyright law.
• Share links (for example https://songhub.link/p/<code>) publish a snapshot of a playlist. Anyone with the link can view that snapshot. Do not share links you want to keep private. You can stop sharing in the Service; until you do, treat the link as public.
• We may remove or disable share links, accounts or content that appear abusive, unlawful or harmful to the Service.

Ownership

The RemoteHub app, the songhub.link web remote, the relay and their code, design, text and graphics are © Bana Computing and protected by copyright. You may not copy, clone, republish, or host copies of them, or reverse engineer, decompile or modify them, except as the law expressly allows. You also may not use our names or logos to suggest a copy is ours.

You keep rights in content you submit (for example playlist names and saved song metadata), and you grant us a limited license to host, transmit and display that content solely to operate the Service (including share snapshots you create).

Content and karaoke media

The Service relays controls to SongHub and may store song metadata for My Songs and playlists. We don't host or provide song audio, video or lyrics, and you're responsible for having the rights to the content you play or save.

Lyrics

Synced lyrics and their playback timing on songhub.link come from your own SongHub device and the source that licenses them to SongHub. They are passed through only to people connected to your room for the live session, shown transiently, and not stored or published by us. Lyrics remain the property of their rights holders, and the Service grants you no rights in them. Use them only for private, non‑commercial karaoke.

Availability

The Service is provided free of charge and may change, be interrupted or be discontinued at any time. Features that depend on Google Firebase, Cloudflare or SongHub may fail when those services are unavailable. Synced lyrics may be missing or out of sync. We may rate‑limit or block use that looks abusive.

Donations

Donations are voluntary, non‑refundable and don't unlock features or create any obligation.

Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including uninterrupted or error‑free operation, to the extent allowed by law. To the extent allowed by law, Bana Computing isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or loss of data, arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Philippine law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Courts in the Philippines have jurisdiction over disputes, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will revise the date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms, to the extent allowed by law. Questions: banacomputing@gmail.com.
